Community Enrichment

ACC's Community Enrichment program offers a variety of courses and programs to meet the needs of the community and to give participants the opportunity to try new activities and expand their skills! These non-credit courses cover a variety of topics, including physical fitness, well-being, outside activities, and more.

Advanced registration is required. You may register by phone with a debit/credit card by calling 989.358.7281, online through ACC's EventBrite page, or by mail using the form above. Make checks payable to "Alpena Community College." PLEASE PRINT CLEARLY.

Fees are refundable only when ACC cancels the class. 

ACC will continue to observe and adhere to the current COVID-19 safety guide lines. Class sizes are limited, social distancing will be in place, and participants must wear a face mask.

Learn to recognize common pet ailments, the importance of heartworm medication, and why your pet should have regular veterinary and dental care. Class size limited; no pets, please. This course is not a substitution for basic pet care.

Art in the Loft Lumberjack Dinner

Alongside trained Chef Reid Krebs, learn the “ins” and the “outs” of the Pasty, which is steeped in Michigan history. Chef Krebs will guide you through making a simple 4 ingredient pasty dough, while you get to put your own culinary mark on the filling for your creation.

Although pasties were a staple for the mine-workers in the Upper Peninsula, we know that these were fit for the hard-working lumber workers as well. Chef Krebs will also have samples of his famous flapjacks for tasting! All recipes and supplies are included.
