ACC's Community Enrichment program offers a variety of courses and programs to meet the needs of the community and to allow participants to try new activities and expand their skills! These non-credit courses cover a variety of topics, including physical fitness, well-being, outside activities, and more.

Intro to Fly Tying

Cost: $40 (includes materials and lunch)
Are you interested in learning how to tie flies for fly fishing? This course is designed for those at the beginning level or for those intermediate fishermen who want to improve on basic techniques. All tools, materials & lunch will be provided, though you are certainly welcome to bring your own tools if desired. You will be taking home at least 5 flies. Equipment has been graciously provided by the Headwaters Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Concepts of Fly Fishing

Cost: $100 (includes your free fly box and flies)
If you’ve ever wanted to learn or improve skills with flies and fly rods, this is your chance!
Designed for beginners through intermediate anglers, start with the basics covering fish, habitat, food sources, equipment, flies, knots & casting. Conclude with an optional field trip to practice and apply skills on a stream.

  • Each session builds on the previous week
  • Fly box and flies included! No equipment is needed
  • Appropriate for all ages
