Register for Classes

Fall Classes begin August 31, 2020

Registration DirectionsStudents can register at either campus location for classes at either campus (Alpena and Oscoda Campus Locations).

  1. Advisor Web Registration. Your advisor may be participating in Web registration. Upon system entry, obtain the printed registration results from your advisor. Tuition information may be obtained through WebAdvisor or you may request a Registration Statement in the Registrar's Office (Van Lare Hall, room 108). Students may use WebAdvisor to view financial aid, financial obligations and make credit card payments on their account. You are responsible for tuition payment. 
  2. Registrar's Office (Van Lare Hall, room 108). If your advisor is not participating in Web registration, please bring your completed registration form to Van Lare Hall, room 108. You are responsible for your tuition payment.
  3. Web Registration. Available for returning students only. Learn how to register online.
Waitlist

ACC now offers the WaitList feature for closed/filled sections. If you are interested in a section that is already filled, utilize the new WaitList feature through WebAdvisor registration. Once on a waitlist, you will be notified through your ACC email when a seat becomes available. The offer is available for two days before the offer is closed and extended to the next student on the WaitList. Questions, please contact the Registrar’s Office.

Fall Early Registration

August 8 - 24 — Normal Business Hours
Students can register through WebAdvisor or by contacting their advisor. Contact the Registrar’s Office for the most up-to-date information on in-person registration.

Fall Central RegistrationAugust 25 - 30
Students can register through WebAdvisor or by contacting their advisor. Contact the Registrar’s Office for the most up-to-date information on in-person registration.
Online registration remains open through midnight on August 30.

Drop/Add period & Instructor Approval RegistrationStudents may register for classes the first week of the semester only with the authorized signature of approval by the course instructor. Department chairs may authorize and sign first-week semester course enrollments on behalf of their adjunct instructors. During the second week of the semester, no registrations of in-session courses will be allowed, only course level changes (e.g. MTH 113 to MTH 102) and lateral course changes (e.g. ENG 111 to another section of ENG 111) will be allowed with the approval of the course instructor(s).


 

New Student OrientationNew Students must attend Orientation prior to registering. 
Sign up for orientation   

All new students are required to attend a New Student Orientation session prior to registering for classes. During orientation, students will hear about being a student at ACC, learn about financial aid, and meet with an academic advisor to schedule classes for the coming semester. Students can sign up for the registration session that works best for them (available dates listed below) by visiting discover.alpenacc.edu and selecting the Orientation Registration link located under the Admissions tab and filling out the Registration Form. There will be no orientation sessions offered at our Oscoda Campus this semester. Our Face-to-Face Orientations will be held in the Granum Theatre. Face masks/coverings will be required for the Face-to-Face sessions and students should enter through the main door by Park Arena (C1).

Online Orientation
Tuesday, August 25 – 10:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 26 – 10:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 27 – 10:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m.


FALL REFUND PERIOD ENDS**: Friday, September 11,  2020– 100% through this date 0% REFUND THEREAFTER

**PLEASE NOTE: The enrollment and refund period varies for courses that end before the regular 15-week sessions. Please contact the Registrar's Office (989.358.7282) (room 108, in Van Lare Hall) for the enrollment and refund deadlines for such courses.

The class schedule is also available on WebAdvisor. Registration materials can be picked up in the Registrar’s Office, Room 108, in Van Lare Hall.
