Registering for Fall Semester 2020

Alpena Community College will be open for Fall Semester 2020!

Currently we are scheduled to begin classes August 31, 2020, in Alpena, Oscoda, and online.

ACC is providing a wide variety of course offerings and delivery methods so that all students will be able to safely meet their academic needs. Check out ACC's selection of online and remote courses, which are great for students outside of the Alpena area or who wish not to take face-to-face courses.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, please regularly check the ACC website and WebAdvisor for updates on courses, registration methods, housing options, safety precautions, and other Fall Semester 2020 details.

Online registration is available through WebAdvisor, or through the Registrar's Office.  

Fall Semester Early Registration
April 6 - August 7 — Online while campuses are closed
Tuition is due by August 7

Fall Open Registration
August 8 - 24 — Normal business hours (please check to verify campuses are open)
Tuition is due at the time of registration

Fall Central RegistrationAugust 25 - 30
Online registration remains open through midnight August 30
Tuition is due at the time of registration

Drop/Add period & Instructor Approval RegistrationStudents may register for classes the first week of the semester only with the authorized signature of approval by the course instructor. Department chairs may authorize and sign first-week semester course enrollments on behalf of their adjunct instructors. During the second week of the semester, no registrations of in-session courses will be allowed, only course level changes (e.g. MTH 113 to MTH 102) and lateral course changes (e.g. ENG 111 to another section of ENG 111) will be allowed with the approval of the course instructor(s).

New Student OrientationNew students must attend Orientation prior to registering.

Regardless of what methods ACC is able to provide instruction, we are still committed to providing the best education for our students. ACC staff have compiled a list of resources that students have available to them from a distance, including internet options, tutoring and proofreading services, mental health resources, software access, library resources, and a list of contact information for often-used departments.

**PLEASE NOTE: The enrollment and refund period varies for courses that end before the regular 15-week sessions. Please contact the Registrar's Office (989.358.7282) (room 108, in Van Lare Hall) for the enrollment and refund deadlines for such courses.

The class schedule is also available on WebAdvisor. Registration materials can be picked up in the Registrar’s Office, Room 108, in Van Lare Hall.
