COVID-19 Cancellations/Closures

List of ACC Changes/Cancellations/Closures

  • All ACC Spring Semester 2020 courses have resumed in a remote format. All course work is being delivered using Blackboard and video conferencing. Students should regularly contact their instructors to make sure they are completing all assignments and necessary course work. All students should log into their ACC student email accounts and Blackboard and check their messages. For help, contact the ACC Help Desk at helpdesk@alpenacc.edu or 989-358-7374.
  • All ACC buildings are closed to the public and non-essential personnel until further notice.
  • Registration for Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 courses opened to returning ACC students on Monday, April 6, 2020. Students are encouraged to contact their advisors for more information on degree requirements and course selection. Most Summer 2020 courses will be offered remotely and will start June 15. Please carefully check the start and end dates of each course.
  • New Student Orientations are being offered via video conferencing on selected dates. Please contact the Admissions Office for more information.
  • Spring Semester 2020 book buyback can be handled completely through the ACC Bookstore website. The online buyback tab is located in the top right-hand corner of the page. Shipping is free.
  • Rented Spring Semester books can be returned starting May 7; rented books should be deposited in a locked box located outside of Besser Technical Center and the Oscoda Campus front entrance. Students should include their student number and name on the books.
  • Caps and gowns are in stock for students who would like to purchase them. Students can call or email the ACC Bookstore to order and a Bookstore representative will respond. Students will need to supply sizes for the cap and gown, a shipping address, and credit card info. Cost is $31.80 (includes tax). Shipping costs will be waived.
  • Summer Semester books are available through the ACC Bookstore website. Books will be shipped directly to students. All shipping charges for summer will be waived.
  • Commencement is postponed until further notice.
  • The Honors Breakfast is postponed until further notice.
  • The Spring Semester Nurses Pinning Ceremony is postponed until further notice.
  • The ACC Staff Recognition Dinner is postponed until further notice.
  • The Wellness Center and Park Arena are closed until further notice.
  • The ACC Library is closed until further notice.
  • Library testing services are cancelled until further notice.
  • The ACC Bookstore is closed until further notice.
  • The Student Success Center is closed until further notice.
  • The Testing Center is closed until further notice.
  • Community Education courses are cancelled until further notice.
  • Financial aid refund checks were mailed to students on March 18; no in-person pickup.
  • The March 20 Utility Technology Orientation will be rescheduled for a later date to be announced.
  • The Lumberjack Shack (on-campus food service) is closed until further notice.
